On the Tools menu, click Add-Ins.
- Do one of the following:
- To remove an add-in from memory but keep its name in the list, select the add-in and then click Unload.

To remove an add-in from the list and also from the registered list of add-ins in the registry file, select its name and then click Remove.
- Add the COM Add-Ins command to the Tools menu.
- On the Tools menu, click Customize, and then click the Commands tab.
- In the Categories box, click Tools.
- Drag COM Add-Ins from the Commands box to the Tools menu. When the menu commands are displayed, point to the location where you want the COM Add-Ins command to appear on the menu, and then release the mouse button.
- Click Close.

To remove an add-in from the list and also from the registered list of add-ins in the registry file, select its name, and then click Remove.

Note Component Object Model (COM) add-ins are typically used by developers.
Note Unloading or removing an add-in doesn't remove the add-in file from your computer.
