I aligned my objects and they are stacked on top of each other.
Depending on the alignment option you click, objects will move straight up, down, left, or right and might cover an object already there. You can undo the alignment and move the objects to new positions before you align them.
If you are still having trouble, the snap-to-objects option may be the reason. This option aligns objects to the nearest other object as you draw or move objects.
- To turn off the snap-to options, click Grid and Guides on the View menu, and clear the Snap objects to other objects check box.
Items on the Align or Distribute menu are dimmed and I can't select them.
You may not have enough objects selected. Unless the Relative to Slide option is selected, you must select at least two objects to make the alignment options available and at least three objects to make the distribution options available.
When I use the Align or Distribute command, my objects don't move where I want them.
