Position or align text in a table

Use this process to modify Microsoft PowerPoint tables. Use the source program's Help for information about modifying tables that were created with another program.

Do one of the following:

ShowAlign text in the top, middle, or bottom of a cell

  1. If the Tables and Borders toolbar is not displayed, click Tables and Borders Button image on the Standard toolbar.
  2. Select the cells you want to change.
  3. Click Align Top Button image, Center Vertically Button image, or Align Bottom Button image.

ShowAlign text on the right or left, or in the center of a cell

  1. Select the cells you want to change.
  2. On the Format menu, point to Alignment, then click Align Left, Center, Align Right, or Justify.

ShowChange cell margins

  1. Select the cells you want to change.
  2. On the Format menu, click Table, and then click the Text Box tab.
  3. Adjust the measurements under Internal margin.

ShowInsert a tab in a table cell

  • Press CTRL+TAB.
