If your computer is enabled for multiple monitors, you just need to set Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 to run the slide show with presenter view. On the Slide Show menu, click Set Up Show, and then select the Show Presenter View check box.
I want to show my presentation in a large room on three monitors.
At this time, Microsoft PowerPoint can run a slide show on only two monitors: a primary (presenter's) monitor and the monitor that the audience views.
You may need to turn on the multiple monitor support for your laptop.
Before you can turn on dual monitor support (sometimes called multiple monitor support), you must have the proper hardware installed according to the manufacturer's instructions. This support is available for desktop and laptop computers running Windows XP Professional or later.
- If Control Panel is not already visible, click the Start menu, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click the Display icon
- Select the monitor icon for the presenter's monitor (usually 1), and then select the Use this device as the primary monitor check box.
If this check box is selected and unavailable, the monitor is already designated as the primary monitor. Only one monitor can be selected as the primary monitor at a time. When you select a different monitor icon and complete step 2, this setting for the previous monitor is automatically cleared and becomes accessible again.
- Select the secondary monitor icon, and then select the Extend my Windows Desktop onto this monitor check box.
Notes
- You can only show the presenter view on and run the slide show from one monitor.
- Your computer may have the capability to support multiple monitors, but PowerPoint supports the use of two for a slide show.
- You can turn off dual monitor support by clearing the Extend my Windows Desktop onto this monitor check box.
The diagrams and charts I had included with my speaker's notes don't show up in presenter view.
Only text notes show up in presenter view. If you want the graphics to show up with your notes, you can print them out or view the Notes Pages view in addition to presenter view while you run the slide show. To do this, in presenter view, switch to normal view. In normal view, on the View menu, click Notes Page. To move between the Notes Pages view and presenter view, click the appropriate icon in the task bar.
