Link or embed an Excel chart

  1. Click on the slide where you want to place the embedded object.
  2. On the Insert menu, click Object.
  3. Click Create new.
  4. In the Object type box, click Microsoft Excel Chart, and click OK.

    A chart with sample data is added to the slide.

  5. Click Sheet1 to replace the sample data.

ShowCreate a linked or embedded Excel chart from an existing file

  1. Click in the text box of the item where you want to place the linked object or embedded object.
  2. On the Insert menu, click Object.
  3. Click Create from file.
  4. In the File box, type the name of the file you want to create a linked or embedded Excel chart from, or click Browse to select from a list.
  5. To create a linked object, select the Link check box.

Note  When you create a linked or embedded object from an existing Microsoft Excel workbook, the entire workbook is inserted into your slide. Only one worksheet is displayed at a time. To display a different worksheet, double-click the Excel object, and then click a different worksheet.
