Add bullets or numbering to text

- Select the lines of text that you want to add bullets or numbering to.

Tips
- To create a subordinate list within the list, place the insertion point at the start of the line you want indented and either press the TAB key or, on the Formatting
toolbar, click Increase Indent . If you want text to move back to a less indented level in the list, either press SHIFT+TAB or, on the Formatting toolbar, click Decrease Indent
.
- You can start a numbered list by typing. First, press BACKSPACE to remove the bullet at the beginning of the line. Then, type the number— a one (1), letter A or a, or roman numeral one (I or i) followed by a period or closing parenthesis, and then a space. Type the text and press ENTER to start a new line. The numbering continues automatically.
