Turn automatic layout on or off

  • On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect Options.
  • Click the AutoFormat As You Type tab.
  • Under Apply as you work, select or clear the Automatic layout for inserted objects check box.

    • ShowTip

    You can also turn off this option by using the Automatic Layout Options button Button image, which appears on the right after an automatic layout has been applied to a slide. Click the button, and then click Stop Automatic Layout of Inserted Objects.
