Add, change, or remove a fill from an embedded object

  1. Double-click the embedded object.

  2. Do one of the following:

    ShowAdd, change, or remove a fill from a Microsoft Excel worksheet

    1. Select the cells you want to change.

    2. On the Format menu, click Cells, and then click the Patterns tab.
    3. Do one of the following:
      • To add or change a fill, click a color under Cell shading.
      • To remove a fill, click No Color under Cell shading.

    ShowAdd, change, or remove a fill from an Excel chart

    1. Select the chart area by clicking the blank area between the border of the chart and the area where the data is plotted.
    2. On the Format menu, click Selected Chart Area, and then click the Patterns tab.
    3. Do one of the following:
      • To add or change a fill, click a color under Area.
      • To remove a fill, click None under Area.

    1. Click in the table or paragraph that you want to change.
    2. On the Format menu, click Borders and Shading, and then click the Shading tab.
    3. Do one of the following:
      • To add or change a fill, click a color under Fill.
      • To remove a fill, click No Fill under Fill.
