About calendar, date, and time formats for specific languages

Calendar, date, and time formats for specific languages are available if support for the language you want to use is enabled through Microsoft Office Language Settings.

You can select date and time formats based upon the available calendars for the language you want to use. Some languages have only one calendar choice available. For example, Japanese uses the Western calendar as the default calendar but also has the Japanese Emperor Reign calendar available. If the language you want to use has multiple calendars from which to choose, you will be able to select the specific calendar you want and then select date and time formats that correspond to your selected calendar.
