Modify a color scheme

  1. On the Formatting toolbar, click Design Button image, and in the task pane, click Color Schemes.
  2. Do one of the following:

    ShowModify a color scheme for slides

    • To apply the new color scheme to selected (rather than all) slides, select the slides on the Slides tab.

    ShowModify a color scheme for notes

    • To apply the new color scheme to one notes page, select the slide on the Slides tab, and on the View menu, click Notes Page.

    • To apply the new color scheme to all notes pages, on the View menu, point to Master, and then click Notes Master.

    ShowModify a color scheme for handouts

    • On the View menu, point to Master, and then click Handout Master.

  3. At the bottom of the task pane, click Edit Color Schemes.
  4. On the Custom tab, under Scheme colors, click the first color you want to change, and then click Change Color.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • On the Standard tab's color palette, click the color you want, and then click OK.
    • On the Custom tab's color palette, drag the cross-hair to select a color, drag the scroll bar to adjust the brightness, and then click OK.

  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each color you want to change.

  7. Click Apply.

Notes

  • When you change a color scheme, the effect is a new color scheme, which is added to the gallery in the Slide Design-Color Schemes task pane.
  • You can have a total of 16 color schemes for each design template in a presentation.
