Add, change, or remove a fill from an embedded object

Double-click the embedded object.

Do one of the following:
Add, change, or remove a fill from a Microsoft Excel worksheet

Select the cells you want to change.
- On the Format menu, click Cells, and then click the Patterns tab.
- Do one of the following:
- To add or change a fill, click a color under Cell shading.
- To remove a fill, click No Color under Cell shading.
Add, change, or remove a fill from an Excel chart
- Select the chart area by clicking the blank area between the border of the chart and the area where the data is plotted.
- On the Format menu, click Selected Chart Area, and then click the Patterns tab.
- Do one of the following:
- To add or change a fill, click a color under Area.
- To remove a fill, click None under Area.
Add, change, or remove a fill from a Microsoft Word document
- Click in the table or paragraph that you want to change.
- On the Format menu, click Borders and Shading, and then click the Shading tab.
- Do one of the following:
- To add or change a fill, click a color under Fill.
- To remove a fill, click No Fill under Fill.
