8.6.3 System Settings

Many of LANSA's system wide settings are held in data areas, which can be found in the LANSA program library (this is usually DCXPGMLIB, but it may be different on your machine). You should familiarize yourself with the contents of the data areas using the Review System Settings facility in the LANSA for i User Guide.

Target Version

A system setting that you should particularly consider before beginning development is the target version for compiles. Your LANSA system is installed with a default, but this value should be reviewed to ensure its suitability for your requirements.
