5.6 Maintenance Contract

A maintenance contract provides you with valuable services such as software upgrades, updates to documentation and a support line.

If you are using the LANSA workstation products, such as LANSA Open and LANSA Client, it is recommended that you also have a maintenance contract for LANSA for i. This will ensure that you are automatically notified about all LANSA Repository enhancements.

The LANSA system administrator should receive and review the upgrade information and should have a means of keeping you up to date with the latest enhancements. The system administrator should also act as the liaison with your local LANSA vendor.

Many of the changes to the LANSA software have been the direct result of input from current LANSA users. Your comments are encouraged. The maintenance contract is part of your investment in the future of the software.
