2.1 Summary of LANSA IBM i Software Options

This section provides a high level description of the LANSA IBM i Software installation program options to assist you in determining the option that best meets your requirements.

The LANSA IBM i software installation offers you these options:

• 2.1.2 Typical LANSA for IBM i Installation

• 2.1.3 Custom LANSA for i Installations

• 2.1.4 LANSA Integrator Installation

• 2.1.5 Upgrade LANSA for i Installations

• 2.1.6 LANSA for the Web on IBM i

If you are using an Independent Auxiliary Storage Pool then please refer to Using Independent Auxiliary Storage Pool (IASP) for further information before you begin the installation.

If you insert the LANSA IBM i Software DVD into a Windows PC, an autorun program will open an HTML browser window displaying the LANSA for i software Installation Main Menu. This menu simply describes the steps to execute the Installation Program. You cannot install the LANSA IBM i software from this interface. For details, refer to 2.1.1 LANSA IBM i Software DVD.
