Installing LANSA on IBM i

The Web Server Only - Parameters

If you have selected the LANSA for the Web - Web Server Only Install, please check the default Web Server Parameters that have been inserted for you.

 

LANSA Administration Library

The name of the library into which the LANSA for the Web software components should be installed. This library must not already exist as it will be created.

LANSA Communications Library

The name of the library into which the LANSA communications software components should be installed. This library must not exist for an install as it will be created.

Web Work Library

The name of the library into which the working objects used by LANSA for the Web will be stored. The Web Work Library will be used at run time by LANSA for the Web applications. The default is [your specified library prefix]WRKLIB. The library will be created by the installation.
Note: Do not use Q as the first character of the library prefix as it is used by IBM namespace of Qxxxxx.

LANSA object owner

Specify the name of an existing IBM i user profile that will be the owner of this LANSA for i system. Objects subsequently created by LANSA for i on behalf of its users will also be owned by this Product Owner.

If a Product Owner is not specificied, the default value, QOTHPRDOWN will be used. This profile will be automatically created if it does not already exist. Other profiles can only be nominated if you are signed on as QSECOFR or a QSECOFR group profile. QSECOFR is not recommended.

HTTP Instance Name

The name that is used by HTTP instance. This name should be unique amongst all HTTP instances. If you need to change this name, refer to Appendix C. Change the HTTP Install Instance.

Web Instance Port

The port number used by the Web jobs. The default is 80.

Web Interface

The value is 1 for CGI.

HTTP Server

The IBM i Web Server is HTTP server, powered by Apache.

Development Language

The development language to be used with the LANSA for i system.

LANSA Root Directory

The LANSA directory path used by all the LANSA objects that require the IFS. It is recommended that you use the default path. This directory will be created during the Install process.

Web Image Path

The full path and name for the Image Directory. The Image Directory is used to store the image files used by the LANSA for the Web applications. This default directory will be created if it does not exist. If you do not use the default, the directories in the path name must already exist.
