4.1.6 Partition Initialization

1.  The LANSA components are supplied with LANSA standard definitions, applications or tools. You use the partition Initialization process to select the items to be updated for each of the partitions you are updating.

     The Partition Initialization screen displays a list of the partitions containing a LANSA system on your IBM i.

2.  Enter "Y" to select the Partition(s) that you wish to upgrade. You can upgrade the options in more than one partition during the upgrade process.

3.  If you wish to create a new partition press F6. Refer to Create New Partition for details.

4.  If you wish to delete new partitions, press F5.

5.  Press Enter to go to Select Options to be upgraded.

     If you do not choose any options to upgrade at this time, you can do so later. For further information, refer to 4.5 Initialization Imports.

     Note that a "Y" in the Status column indicates that options have already been selected for the partition.

6.  When you have made your selections, or if you choose not to select any options to upgrade during this process, press Enter to go to the 4.2.4 Start the Upgrade Process .
