Do I have to use Partition Initialization

Installing LANSA on IBM i

Do I have to use Partition Initialization?

Partition Initialization provides a quick and easy way to install optional products and objects at the same time as installing/upgrading your LANSA system.

You do not have to use the Partition Initialization. All of the imports can be performed manually at a later time. Refer to Initialization Imports for notes on manually importing these options.

Notes:
  • The Partition Initialization screen is displayed during the Custom Install or Upgrade. It allows you to select, for each partition, from the standard imports shipped with a new LANSA system.
  • The list of Partition Initialization options displayed will depend upon the component being installed.
  • If you are installing LANSA for i, you will see a complete list of Options. If you are only installing LANSA for the Web, a limited number of Web specific Options will be displayed.
