Summary of Installed Objects
The LANSA IBM i Installation program will install some or all of the following objects depending upon the options selected during the installation:
LANSA for i (defaults)
- New libraries will be created for the LANSA programs, data and communications including:
- DCXPGMLIB
- DCXDTALIB
- DCXMODLIB
- DCXCOMLIB
- QOTHPRDOWN user profile will be created.
- DCXPGMLIB user profile as the LANSA for i Partition Security Officer.
Note that this partition security officer has no special authority outside the LANSA system. You must give authority to this user profile (or user profile of your choice) to the IFS directory, which is used by the Listener.

- Job description: DCXJOBD.
- LANSA directory tree:
- /LANSA_dcxpgmlib (_dcxpgmlib will be replaced with the name that was selected during install.)
- /LANSA_dcxpgmlib/connect - used by Listener
- /LANSA_dcxpgmlib/jsm - used by LANSA Integrator
- /LANSA_dcxpgmlib/support - used by the About function to store the save file that might require by LANSA support
- /LANSA_dcxpgmlib/tmp - LANSA directory used as a work directory
- /LANSA_dcxpgmlib/webserver/images - used by LANSA for the Web
- /LANSA_dcxpgmlib/webserver/servlet - used by LANSA for the Web. No longer applicable.
- /LANSA_dcxpgmlib/webserver/www - used for the HTTP server
- RDMLX object directories:
- /LANSA_dcxpgmlib/x_LANSA/source
- /LANSA_dcxpgmlib/x_LANSA/bin
- /LANSA_dcxpgmlib/x_LANSA/web
- /LANSA_dcxpgmlib/x_LANSA/x_SYS
- If LANSA PASE objects are installed, the following directories will be created:
- /QOpenSys/LANSA_dcxpgmlib/
- New Listener configuration file will be created in the IFS directory LANSA_dcxpgmlib/connect
- New subsystem will be created for the Listener.
- DCXPGMLIB
- New job description will be created for the Listener.
- DCXLISTJQ
- New job queue will be created for the Listener.
LANSA for the Web (defaults)
- New work library will be created:
- DCXWRKLIB
- New directories will be created on the IFS including:
- /LANSA_dcxpgmlib/webserver/images
- /LANSA_dcxpgmlib/webserver/servlet - No longer applicable
- New HTTP configuration instance will be defined with the name DCXPGMLIB.
LANSA for the Web - Web Server Only (defaults)
- New libraries will be created for the LANSA programs including:
- DCXADMLIB
- DCXCOMLIB
- DCXWRKLIB
- QOTHPRDOWN user profile will be created.
- New directories will be created on the IFS including:
- /LANSA_dcxpgmlib/webserver/images
- /LANSA_dcxpgmlib/webserver/servlet - No longer applicable
LANSA Integrator (defaults)
- Java Service Manager objects will be restored to the nominated library named JSMLIB.
- QOTHPRDOWN user profile will be created.
- New directory LANSA_dcxpgmlib/jsm/instance or LANSA_JSMLIB/jsm/instance will be created on the IFS for Java Service Manager files.
- New job description will be created for the Java Service Manager.
- New subsystem description will be created for the Java Service Manager.
Open System Utilities (defaults)
- Programs will be restored to the nominated library named DCXOSULIB.
Partition Initialization (defaults)
- File contents will be updated in the LANSA data library.
- Objects will be restored to the SYS partition library named DCXMODLIB.
