"What do I do if I am in the middle of dialling a number on my computer keyboard and I decide not to call now?"
Click the Cancel button on your IPFX Console. This will take your LCD Screen back to the Green Idle status.
"Do I have to Press Release to transfer calls when answering several calls in a row?"
Only if the Release setting is on Manual. The Release (Auto) function saves you the trouble of having to release each call. If you chose not to use this function then you will have to release each individual call prior to answering the next incoming one.
"What happens if I transfer a caller to an extension that is busy or is not answered?"
If an extension has Voicemail, then (in most cases) a Voicemail greeting will answer the call. If the extension does not have Voicemail, then the call will return to your IPFX Console as a Recall.
"What happens if I transfer a call to an extension with Voicemail and I want to retrieve that caller to provide other options?"
If an extension is answered by Voicemail, then press the star key three times on the telephone (***) and the call will be returned to you. You can then proceed as normal.
"What if I transfer a call to the wrong extension?"
A. If the call hasn't been answered or gone into Voicemail, you can click the Retrieve Last (Ret Last) button and the call will be returned to you. You can then proceed as normal.
