Releasing a Call Manually (Supervised Transfer)

If you do not want to use the Release (Auto) function when transferring a call, you will have to release each call from IPFX Console manually before answering any new calls.

This feature should be used when you wish to announce a call to a staff member before completing the transfer.

To perform a supervised transfer:

  1. Click the Answer Button to answer a call.
  2. Ensure that the Release button is set to manual release.
  3. Click the appropriate DSS key and announce the caller.
  4. Click the Release Button to complete the transfer.

Note: You can change between automatic and manual release during a live call. This will NOT affect the call you currently have on the line. Right click on the Release button to change the setting.
