Conference calls in Console
Note1: IPFX Director will only support up to 5 Conferences (including Meet Me Conferences) totaling no more than 30 parties in all.
If there is a requirement for any more than 5 Conferences at a time, then a dedicated IPFX Conference Server is required.
Note2: On the Cisco CallManager platform, a maximum of 3 participants may take part in a conference call.
To Conference a new party into an existing conversation
- While speaking with your first party, click the Conf button.
- Call your second party by either:
- Typing the second party's phone number or extension on your keyboard and pressing Enter, or
- Clicking on the second party's DSS key, or
- Double-clicking on the second party's name in the Directory.
- When the second party answers, you may wish to verbally invite them to the conference. While you speak with the second party, the first party will hear Music on Hold, or silence, depending on the PBX.
- To connect all three parties in a conference, click Conf.
