Syntax

INSTrument:DMM:DISConnect

INSTrument:DMM:DISConnect?

Description

This command disconnects the internal DMM from the Analog Buses (ABus1 and ABus2).

Remarks

• With the internal DMM disconnected, you can still configure DMM measurements and channel-based measurements; however, the internal DMM will not be reconnected until you send the INSTrument:DMM:CONNect command or a Factory Reset (*RST command).

• The internal DMM setting is stored as part of the instrument state by the *SAV command.

• The internal DMM is an optional assembly for the Agilent 34980A. This command will generate an error if the internal DMM is disabled (see INSTrument:DMM[:STATe] command) or not installed in the mainframe.

• The connection setting is stored in volatile memory and will be connected (OFF) when power is turned off or after a Factory Reset (*RST command).

Return Format

The query command returns "0" (connected) or "1" (disconnected).

Examples

The following command disconnects the internal DMM from ABus1 and ABus2.

INST:DMM:DISC

The following query returns the status of the internal DMM connection.  

INST:DMM:DISC?

Typical Response:  1
