CALibration:SECure:CODE
Syntax
CALibration:SECure:CODE <new_code>
Description
This command allows you to enter a new security code to prevent accidental or unauthorized calibrations. The specified code is used to unsecure the mainframe and all installed modules. To change the security code, you must first unsecure the instrument using the old security code, and then enter a new code.
For a more detailed discussion of the calibration procedures, see the Agilent 34980A Service Guide. Please refer to that guide before attempting to calibrate the instrument as improper use of the CALibration commands can adversely affect the accuracy and reliability of the instrument. |
Used With:
34951A Isolated DAC Module
34952A Multifunction Module (DAC channels only)
Internal DMM

Remarks
The security code is set to "AT34980" when the instrument is shipped from the factory.
If you forget your security code, you can override the security feature. See the Agilent 34980A Service Guide for more information.
The security code is stored in non-volatile memory in the mainframe, and does not change when power has been off, after a Factory Reset (*RST command), or after an Instrument Preset (SYSTem:PRESet command).
Example
The following command sets a new calibration security code (the instrument must be unsecured).
CAL:SEC:CODE T3ST_DUT165
