[142 Circuit diagram: Flow division using restrictor

Throttle and orifice valves control the volumetric flow rate in conjunction with a pressure relief valve. The PRV opens when the resistance of the flow control valve becomes greater than that of the opening pressure set on the PRV. This produces a division of flow.

The volumetric flow to the load device varies, i.e. the action of flow control valves is load-dependent.
