[74 2-way pressure regulator (2)

When the pressure rises at outlet A, the force at the left-hand surface of the pilot piston becomes greater, the piston is displaced to the right and the throttle gap becomes narrower. This causes a pressure drop.

In the case of slide valves, it is also possible to design the control edges in such way that the opening gap increases only slowly. This gives greater control precision.
