Printing the Alternate Items Report

The Alternate Items report lists the numbers of items to which alternate items are assigned, together with the numbers and descriptions of the corresponding alternate items.

For more information on the contents of this report, see Alternate Items – Features.

When to print

Print the report when you add, change, or delete the alternate items you assigned to your item numbers in the Items form, or when you want to review the alternate items you use.

To print the Alternate Items report

  1. Double-click the Alternate Items icon in the Setup Reports folder, then make your selections in the following fields:

  • Item Segment. Lists only items that contain the specified segment in their item numbers and that have alternate items, grouped by each of the segment codes in the specified range.

  • Optional Field Entries. Lists all items that have alternates by the contents of the selected optional field. These choices appear only if you have added optional fields to the I/C Items form.

From [ ] to [ ]. Specify the range of item numbers, categories, segments, or optional field entries to include in the report.

If you are printing to a printer, Inventory Control displays the Print Destination dialog box to let you confirm your printer selection and change the number of copies to print. Click OK if the settings are correct; otherwise, click Cancel or Setup.

If you are printing to a file, Inventory Control displays the name of the file, so you can change it or cancel printing.

If you are printing to the screen (preview), Inventory Control displays the report. If you want, you can then export it to a file or send it to the printer.
