Change Pricing Information for Single Items

Overview

You can change item pricing information at any time using the Item Pricing form.

You can also use the Update Item Pricing form to change price list information, and the Copy Item Pricing form to copy item pricing information to other price lists.

Other item pricing forms

Inventory Control includes the following forms for maintaining price lists for inventory items:

  • Copy Item Pricing. Use Copy Item Pricing to add a range of items to one price list from another price list.

  • Update Item Pricing. Use Update Item Pricing to change prices or costs for a range of items on one or more price lists.

  • Contract Pricing. Use Contract Pricing to set up pricing arrangements for specific customers.

Before you start

  • Use the Price Lists form in the Price/Sales Analysis Reports folder to print the items that you are changing to make sure that you have a complete list of the price lists and currencies where they appear.

To change item pricing:

  1. Open Inventory Control > I/C Items and Price Lists > Item Pricing.

  1. Enter or select the number of the item that you want to change.

  2. Select the price list that you want to edit by double-clicking the line or by highlighting the line and clicking the Open button.

  3. On the detailed Item Pricing form, select the tab where you want to make changes.

  4. Choose the Prices tab to change base prices and sale prices.

  5. Choose the Discounts tab to change discount or markup information for calculating item prices for volume sales or preferred customers.

  6. Use the Price Check tab to set checks for price overrides in Order Entry.

  7. Use the Taxes tab to change tax authorities and customer tax classes for taxes that are included in the item price.

  1. Click the Save button when you are finished.

After changing pricing information

  • Use the Price Lists form in the Price/Sales Analysis Reports folder to print a report of the item pricing information that you changed.
