2.10.1 Create Multilingual Variables

To create a multilingual variable use the New command.

The New multilingual variable dialog is displayed.

  • Enter the Name, Maximum Length, Description. For details of these fields, refer to Multilingual Text Variables in the Technical Reference Guide.
  • Select the Open in editor option if you wish to specify additional details.
  • Select the Close option if you do not want to create another multilingual text variable.
  • When the required details have been specified, press the Create button to create the new multilingual variable. It will appear in the Multilingual list under the Resources heading in the Repository tab. You will find your Multilingual variables in the sequence of the first letter following the *MTXT.
  • Single click on an item in the Definition tab to display the Details tab. In the Details tab you can add a description for each of the languages defined for the partition.
  • The initial description will be used for each language in the Partition.
