Update Bills of Material Field List

In the From field, enter or select the first number in the range of master inventory items that you want to update.

In the To field, enter or select the last number in the range of items that you want to change..

In the From field, enter the code that identifies the first bill of material in the range that you are updating.

In the To field, enter the code for the last bill of material in the range that you are upgrading.

Choose whether you are updating components or updating costs on the bills of material.

  • If updating components, you can choose to Replace, Add, or Remove components.

  • If updating costs, you can increase or decrease the fixed or variable costs by a fixed amount or by a percentage.

If you are updating a component on one or more BOMs, choose whether you are adding a component, removing a component, or replacing one component with another one.

Select the item number for the component that you want to add, remove, or replace.

If the component is also a master item, select the BOM that you are using to assemble the component item.

If you are replacing a component, enter of select the replacement item number.

If the replacement component is a master item, specify the BOM number that you want to use.

Enter or select the unit of measure for the quantity of new component items that are being added to the build.

Enter the number or items that are being added to the build, in the unit of measure that you just specified on the form.

If you are adding an item or replacing one item with another that uses user-specified costing, enter the cost for one unit (in the UOM that you chose).

If you are updating a cost on one or more BOMs, choose whether you are updating fixed costs or variable costs.

If you are updating costs, choose whether you are changing costs by an amount or by a percent.

If you are updating costs, choose whether this is an increase or a decrease.

Specify the amount or percent that the cost is being increased or decreased.
