IMAQ Build CoordSys (Points) VI
Owning Palette: Analytic GeometryInstalled With: NI Vision Development ModuleBuilds a reference for any arbitrary coordinate system with respect to the image plane. The reference of the coordinate system is specified as the position of the origin of the coordinate system, the orientation of its x-axis with respect to that of the image plane, and the direction of the axis.
Reference Points is an array of point clusters that define the coordinate system. If two points are specified, these points are assumed to lie along the x-axis of the coordinate system and the first point is used as the origin of the coordinate axis, as shown in the following figure. If three points are specified, the first two points are assumed to be along the x-axis, and the third point is assumed to be on the y-axis of the coordinate system, as shown in the following figure. |

Axis Reference specifies the direction of the coordinate system. The Axis Reference can be Direct or Indirect. Refer to Axis Type for more information. |

error in (no error) describes the error status before this VI or function runs. The default is no error. If an error occurred before this VI or function runs, the VI or function passes the error in value to error out. This VI or function runs normally only if no error occurred before this VI or function runs. If an error occurs while this VI or function runs, it runs normally and sets its own error status in error out. Use the Simple Error Handler or General Error Handler VIs to display the description of the error code. Use error in and error out to check errors and to specify execution order by wiring error out from one node to error in of the next node.

Coordinate System specifies the coordinate system defined by Reference Points and the Axis Reference.

error out contains error information. If error in indicates that an error occurred before this VI or function ran, error out contains the same error information. Otherwise, it describes the error status that this VI or function produces. Right-click the error out indicator on the front panel and select Explain Error from the shortcut menu for more information about the error.
