Choosing File as the Print Destination
Overview
Sage ERP Accpac lets you print reports to a printer, to the screen, to a file, or as an attachment to an e-mail message.
Note: You must be assigned to a security group that has been assigned permission to change the print destination. (Otherwise, the only destination available will be to a physical printer.)
To change the default print destination to File:

Click File > Print Destination.

Click the File option.

Open the report or form that you want to print.

Make your selections in the dialog box, then click the Print button, or click File > Print.
An Export dialog box opens.

Choose the format: Adobe Acrobat, Crystal Reports, HTML, Excel, TXT, RTF, CSV, XML, etc.

Choose the destination: Application, Disk file, Exchange folder, Lotus Domino, Lotus Domino Mail, MAPI.

Click OK, then select All or Page Range in the Export Options dialog box that appears. Click OK to accept the options.
G/L displays the Choose Export File dialog box.

Specify a file name, choose the directory to save the report to, then click Save.

Check in that directory folder to be sure the file went to the correct location.
After saving as a file

After saving the report as a file, you can clear data for some of the reports (for example, posting journals and the Batch Status report).
Additional information regarding print destinations

For Web-based clients who click the Print button, note that the Preview screen appears first.

You can set the Confirm on Print Option (with the Preferences choice on the Accpac Desktop View menu) to display a message each time you print that lets you confirm the destination printer and the page size and orientation.
