Print Financial Statements to a File

This option applies only to the Print Financial Statements form.

The Print Financial Statements form allows you to change print destinations so reports are sent to files or to e-mails instead of to the printer. You select the print destination on the bottom of the Print Financial Statements form.

When you use File as the print destination, the Financial Reporter lets you choose whether to save the file in Excel format or in text format. Then, it saves all the values in the Print range in that file format.

File naming

When you print to a file, Financial Reporter assigns new filenames that are based on the original Financial Report spreadsheet name, followed by a sequence number. For example, if the original spreadsheet was named BALANCE.XLS, the print file spreadsheet would be named BALANCE.001 or BALANCE.001.xls, depending on the format you chose.

Note, however, that if statement printing generates a series of reports (a departmentalized report, for example), the separate reports will be numbered BALANCE.001, BALANCE.002, BALANCE.003, etc.
