If Nothing Happens When You Choose OK . . .

If nothing happens when you choose OK from the FR View dialog box, check whether you have defined a spec range.

To check for ranges

• Choose Formula, Define Name from the Financial Statement Designer menu.

If the name Spec does not appear as one of the names in the spreadsheet, you must define it.

You must have a Spec range defined before you can generate a report from a report specification. The Spec range is a named range of spreadsheet cells that begins with the first row and column of the report specification, and includes all cells that are part of the specification.

If your spreadsheet has formulas only, and does not have a report specification, you press F9 to calculate the values of the formulas — you do not use FR View.
