3 3 4 Client to a Slave Database Server

Installing LANSA on Windows

3.3.4 Client to a Slave Database Server

For this client type, a copy of the LANSA software is installed on the client PC. This LANSA software accesses the Application Repository on the existing Visual LANSA Slave Server. There is no LANSA Repository installed on the client. When using a client, developers must be connected to the Slave Server.

Before you can start, the Visual LANSA Server system must already be installed.

If a supported compiler is not present on this workstation, a C/C++ compiler can be installed. Refer to 3.4.10 Compiler.

Compiled program objects will reside on the client. Database objects must reside on the Slave Server.
