9.1.3 Step 2. Prepare Server
LANSA forĀ i Server
If you are not already using LANSA Open, you will need to prepare the IBM i server for access by your client server applications. The set up and configuration details are described in Task: LANSA Open Setup on IBM i in the Installing LANSA on IBM i Guide.
The preparations include the following types of tasks:
- user profile configuration (including library list and data access)
- adding IBM i directory entries
- entering LANSA license code
- adjusting LANSA system data areas
- TCP/IP listener configuration (if required)
- LANSA Repository preparations (e.g. loading files).
LANSA Windows Server
The following preparation work should be performed:
- user profile configuration
- entering the appropriate LANSA license code
- TCP/IP listener configuration (if required)
