3.3.2 Independent Workstation to a VCS Master
Select this option to install an Independent Windows Workstation to a VCS Master. This is an Independent Visual LANSA System which is not connected to an IBM i but is connected to other Independent Visual LANSA Systems through a Version Control System Master Repository.
For this System Type, a local Repository is installed along with a C/C++ compiler. (The C/C++ compiler will not be installed if a supported compiler is already present.) You may select any existing supported database or the SQL Server Express database can be installed.
The Deployment Tool can be used to move or export LANSA applications developed using a Visual LANSA Independent System. Alternately you can define a Deployment System associated with the Independent System and use the Deliver To facility to move your LANSA applications to a Linux or IBM i environment.
