3.4.16 IIS Virtual Folder
The URL to execute a jsmdirect request is typically: http://localhost/cgi-bin/jsmdirect.exe cgi-bin is the name of a virtual folder. It can be named different things, such as peanut. In that case the URL becomes http://localhost/peanut/jsmdirect.exe. The virtual folder is mapped to a physical folder on the PC's file system.
When installing Integrator, you can chose to either select an existing virtual folder from the list of virtual folders or create a new virtual folder by typing in the name.
In both cases the related Integrator files (jsmdirect.exe, jsmproxy.exe, jsmadmin.exe and their associated data, message and configuration files) will be installed in the JSMCGI folder under the LANSA root directory. If you select an existing virtual folder, the related Integrator files (jsmdirect.exe, jsmproxy.exe, jsmadmin.exe and their associated data, message and configuration files) will then be copied into the physical folder the chosen virtual folder is mapped to.
IIS on Windows workstations only has one website, but IIS on Windows servers can have more than one website. You can choose which website you wish to use for Integrator.
Website
Select the appropriate option, to use an existing folder or create a new one, from the drop down list.
Use existing virtual folder
If you select an existing folder, the files in that folder are installed in the JSMCGI folder under the LANSA root directory. They are then copied into the mapped directory of the selected virtual folder.
If you create a new virtual folder, it will be created and mapped to the JSMCGI directory under the LANSA root directory.
Note: Files installed for JSMDirect and JSM Proxy will be installed in the directory called JSMCGI.
Use existing virtual folder
The Select Virtual folder dialog lists all virtual folders currently defined on the system you are installing to.
Select from the list if you have elected to use this option.
Create new Virtual Folders
If you enter the name of a new virtual folder, it will be created and mapped to the JSMCGI directory under the LANSA root directory.
