Print Mailing Labels

Overview

The P/O module lets you print mailing labels for sending purchase orders to vendors and for returning goods.

You specify the number of labels to print for each PO and return on the Totals tab, and then use the Mailing Labels form in the Forms folder to print the labels.

When you print mailing labels you can choose:

  • The label form that you want to use.

  • Whether to print labels for purchase orders or returns.

  • Whether to reprint labels.

  • Whether to print the number specified during PO/return entry.

Before you start

  • Find out which report file to use for printing labels.

  • Check the print destination to make sure that you are printing to the correct printer.

To print mailing labels:

  1. Open Purchase Orders > P/O Forms > Mailing Labels.

  1. Fill in the fields as follows:

  • Use Label. Choose the report format that you want to use to print labels.

You can accept the default label report file that appears, or click the Browse button to select a different one. (P/O displays the form that you used previously for labels.)

Sage ERP Accpac ships with two standard labels:

  • POLABEL.RPT — print 12 labels on an 8.5 x 11 page (2-up).

  • POLABELP.RPT prints 14 labels on an 8.5 x 11 page (2-up).

  • Select. Choose whether to print labels for purchase orders or returns.

  • From/To. Specify the range of document numbers for which you want to print labels.

  • Include Labels Already Printed. Choose whether to print new copies of labels that you printed before.

  • Print Only Labels Marked Required. Choose to print either:

  • The number of labels on the Purchase Orders or Return Totals tab (select the Print Only Labels Marked Required option)

  1. Click Print.

If you are printing labels on a printer, you can click the Align button to print a sample copy of the label to check that the information prints in the right places on label stock.
