Posting Journals — Printing
Print the posting journals at the end of each day, as part of your day-end procedure and audit trail documentation.
When to print
Print posting journals regularly (daily or weekly) after running Day End processing.
How to print

Select the type of transaction for which to print a posting journal (Receipt, Return, Invoice, Credit/Debit Note).

Select the method by which to group transactions on the journal:

Day End Number — lists transactions by the Day End Processing run when they were posted, beginning with transactions posted during the earliest selected day-end.

Transaction Date — lists transactions in order of their transaction date (such as the receipt date for receipt transactions). The transaction with the earliest date is listed first.

Vendor Number — lists transactions by vendor number so that you can easily see all transactions posted for each vendor.

(Transaction) Number — lists transactions by their document numbers (Receipt Number, Return Number, Invoice Number, Credit/Debit Note Number), beginning with the lowest number.

Specify the range of day-end numbers for which you are printing the report.

Specify whether to include additional costs on receipt journals.

Specify whether to add a summary of taxes.

If you are printing Invoices or Credit/Debit Notes, you can select Accounts Payable audit information to help you match postings in Purchase Orders to Accounts Payable transactions.

If you have Project and Job Costing, select Include Job Details to print job-related information.

Select Optional Fields to include optional field information on posting journals (if you use Optional Fields).

Choose whether you want to reprint journals you have printed before.

Choose to include serial and or lot numbers for applicable items on the report.

Choose the size of the paper in your printer (either legal size, or letter/A4).

Click Print.
