About IPFX Out of Office Assistant Integration

"Sync Out Of Office" is a location-specific option.

With IPFX's Out of Office Assistant Integration, you can now integrate your Location status with the Microsoft Outlook Out of Office Assistant. This feature is configurable for each location and will automatically set the Out-of-Office Assistant on or off depending on the Location:

Location

Out-of-Office Assistant Status

Office, Queue

Off (in the office).

Any other Location

On ("I am currently out of the office").

Example Settings:

  1. "Sync Out of Office" is enabled for these Locations:

    Office, Queue, Gone Out, Gone for the Day, Holiday, Sick Leave and Away on Business.

  2. "Sync Out of Office" is NOT enabled for these Locations:

    In a Meeting and Prime Time.

Note: The automatic enabling/disabling of the Out-of-Office Assistant may not be reflected in Microsoft Outlook through the Out-of-Office Assistant dialog (that is, you may have set your location to an "out of the office" Location but opening the Out-of-Office Assistant dialog does not indicate that the Assistant is turned ON). If you close and restart Outlook and the Out-of-Office Assistant is ON, you will be advised and offered the choice of turning it OFF.

Note: Manually turning the Out-of-Office Assistant OFF (that is by using Microsoft Outlook) will not return your Location to Office/Queue.
