Use this field to select a cost class that represents the kind of resource used with this cost type.

You can choose from the following cost classes:

• Labor

• Overhead

• Subcontractor

• Equipment

• Miscellaneous

• Material

Note that cost classes are fixed in Project and Job Costing; you cannot change them or add new ones.

You can enter up to 10 characters in the Cost Type Code field.

Click the New button next to the Cost Type Code field to be able to add a new record, if a record is displayed.

You can use the Finder or the navigation buttons next to the field to select an existing cost type record.

Use this field to enter a description of the cost type using up to 60 characters.

Use this field to set the record inactive.

You will not be able to assign this cost type in future.
