Scanning
The NI 4060, NI 4065, and NI 4070/4071/4072 can exchange signals with NI switches during multipoint scanning operations. Two methods of scanning are available: synchronous and handshaking.

Scan List
A scan list is a string composed of channel names and characteristics that define connections, disconnections, triggering, and timing of the scan in the switch.
