Diode
The NI 4065 and NI 4070/4071/4072 can excite a DUT with a constant current source and read the resulting voltage drop using a 10 V DC range. Diode mode is useful for testing p-n junctions, LEDs, and zener diodes. The default current excitation is 1 mA, and a voltage up to 4.5 V (NI 4070/4072), 4.0 V (NI 4071), or 3.5 V (NI 4065) can be measured with this setting. You can also set the current source to 1 uA, 10 uA, or 100 uA for the NI 4070/4071/4072 and 100 uA for the NI 4065, in which case voltage up to 10 V can be measured. Refer to niDMM Configure Current Source or niDMM_ConfigureCurrentSource for more information about how to configure the current source.
