Continuous Acquisitions
Continuous acquisitions function the same way as multi point acquisitions except that the trigger loop or the sample trigger loop are continuous. To configure a continuous acquisition, set Trigger Count or Sample Count to 0.
- Setting Sample Count to 0 causes the conditional statement "Measurements equal to Sample Count" to always evaluate to False. The DMM continues taking measurements in the inner loop.
- Setting Trigger Count to 0 causes the conditional statement "Triggers equal to Trigger Count" to always evaluate to False.

Notes To take continuous measurements on the NI 4060 or NI 4050, set Sample Count to 0. Trigger Count can only be equal to 1 for these DMMs. Continuous acquisitions cannot be performed using waveform mode. |
To end a continuous acquisition, you must call niDMM Abort.
