Triggering

The following table shows the pins used for input and output triggers, which are used during synchronous scanning or handshaking:

PinAssignment
2Ground
6Measurement Complete (MC)
9 External Trigger In (Trigger/Sample Trigger)

Cable Accessories

Note  When the NI PXI-4060 is installed in the right-most slot of a PXI/SCXI combination chassis, the NI PXI-4060 can send MC through the backplane, but requires external cabling to receive the external trigger input. Refer to Scanning Switch Modules for more information.
AUX Trigger Cable

This cable allows the NI 4060 to trigger NI and third-party switches during synchronous scanning or handshaking scanning.

Note  The AUX Trigger Cable only provides access to AUX I/O Connector Pins 2, 6, and 9, where Pin 2 is Ground and is present in both ends of the cable.
SH9MD-AUX Cable

This cable allows the NI 4060 to communicate with SCXI switches and send measurement complete (MC). This functionality allows the NI 4060 to work under synchronous scanning. Refer to Scanning Switch Modules for more information.
