The following table shows the pins used for input and output triggers, which are used during synchronous scanning or handshaking:

Note When the NI PXI-4060 is installed in the right-most slot of a PXI/SCXI combination chassis, the NI PXI-4060 can send MC through the backplane, but requires external cabling to receive the external trigger input. Refer to Scanning Switch Modules for more information. |
| AUX Trigger Cable |
This cable allows the NI 4060 to trigger NI and third-party switches during synchronous scanning or handshaking scanning.
