Considerations for Using the LabVIEW Real-Time Module

To develop an NI-DMM application in the LabVIEW Real-Time Module, follow the same steps used for developing any application in the LabVIEW Real-Time Module, with the addition of using NI-DMM VIs.

Note  Applications running NI-DMM in the LabVIEW Real-Time Module may be compromised and/or slow at 64 MB.

Hardware Support

You can use the following devices with the LabVIEW Real-Time Module:

  • NI PXI-4072
  • NI PXI-4071
  • NI PXI-4070
  • NI PXI-4065

Unsupported Features

When using National Instruments DMMs with the LabVIEW Real-Time Module, the following features are not supported:

  • External calibration
  • Test panel
  • DMM Soft Front Panel (DMM SFP)
  • NI-DMM/Switch Express VI
