What's New in Project and Job Costing 5.6

With this version, we are pleased to introduce several new features that you have asked for!

Project and Job Costing 5.6A now lets you:

For information on using the new search feature, see Quick Project and Category Search.

  • Print Revenue Recognition Worksheets and Billing Worksheets.

Version 5.6 lets you print reports of your billing and revenue recognition worksheets. You can either:

    • Print the current worksheet by clicking File > Print in the Revenue Recognition Worksheet form or in the Billing Worksheet form.

    • Print a range of worksheets using a new Worksheets icon, which is available in the PJC Transaction Reports folder.

For information on printing worksheets, see Worksheets Report.

  • Take advantage of fully integrated Serialized Inventory and Lot Tracking.

In version 5.6, serialized inventory and lot tracking features are installed and fully integrated with Sage ERP Accpac Inventory Control.

You need a license for Serialized Inventory and Lot Tracking to use serial numbers and lot numbers in Sage ERP Accpac programs, but you no longer have to purchase and install Sage ERP Accpac Serialized Inventory and Lot Tracking programs separately.

All the icons for managing serial numbers and lot numbers are conveniently located in existing Inventory Control folders, where you expect to find them, rather than in separate Serialized Inventory and Lot Tracking folders.

We have also redesigned the forms you use to assign serial numbers and lot numbers in transactions. It is now much simpler to assign these numbers in material usage and material return transactions.

For information on allocating and generating serial and lot numbers in material transactions, see Allocating Serial and Lot Numbers in Material Transactions - Overview.

  • Print reports of serial and lot numbers assigned to jobs in Project and Job Costing.

If you have a license for Serialized Inventory and Lot Tracking, a new Serials and Lots report icon is available in PJC Analytical Reports folder. It lets you print two types of reports:

    • The Contract, Project, Category, and Resource report type shows the serial and lot numbers assigned to each project, category, and resource in each contract.

    • The Resource report type lists serial numbers and lot numbers for each resource and customer.

You can also include serial and lot number on transaction listings.

For information on printing these reports, see Serials and Lots Report.
