Testing DAQ Devices

Test panels provide a way for you to test the functionality of your DAQ device. To run test panels, complete the following steps:

1. Expand Devices and Interfaces»Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) Devices in the configuration tree.
2. Right-click the device you want to test. Select Test Panels to display the test panel for the device.

   –or–

   Select the device you want to test. Click Test Panels in the MAX toolbar.

   The test panel appears. You can view the analog input, analog output, counter I/O, and digital I/O functions of the device by clicking the tabs near the top of the window. If the device you are testing is not a multifunction DAQ device, the window might have fewer tabs.

3. If there is a problem with the device, the Error indicator turns red. Click Error Codes to display detailed information about the error.
4. Click Close when you are finished.

Note  Neither DAQ devices running in LabVIEW Real-Time nor the PCI-7041 RT Series DAQ device currently support test panels.
