ISA Devices
If you plan to use ISA Plug and Play DAQ devices on Windows NT, you must first install NI-DAQ, then the Windows NT ISA Plug and Play driver before configuring your device with MAX. This driver is not installed by default. Follow these steps to install the driver:
- Insert your Windows NT CD.
- Go to the \Drvlib\Pnpisa\X86 directory.
- Right-click the Pnpisa.inf file and select Install.
- After you have installed the Pnpisa.inf file, power off your computer.
- Install your ISA Plug and Play DAQ device.
- Power on your computer. When Windows NT detects your ISA Plug and Play DAQ device, it will specify the necessary driver files. Because this will result in a configuration change, restart your computer.
- After restarting, run MAX. MAX will automatically detect the device and ask for a device number.
Refer to Configuring DAQ Devices for more information.
Note After you make any resource changes to ISA Plug and Play devices in MAX, you must restart your system. |
