Editing the Sensor
The Sensor section defines the sensor type connected to the DAQ channel. The sensor you select determines which scaling options are available for the conversion of the sensor measurement to the physical quantity.
| Sensor, Unit, Range | In the Sensor selection box, select a sensor. For information on analog input sensor types, refer to Analog Input. The sensor you select controls the sensor unit displayed for this channel. The sensor also determines the physical quantity unit you can select. Some sensor selections have pre-selected ranges. When you select one of these sensors, your sensor range automatically changes to the appropriate range in terms of the measurement units. |
| Scaling Formula | In the Scaling Formula selection box, select your scaling option. Standard RTD and Thermocouple measurement options already contain defined scaling formulas, so you do not specify the conversion. |
